Lana Del Rey Premieres “Summertime Sadness” Video

An ode to friendship, the ghost of suicide and Super 8 films

Lana Del Rey Premieres “Summertime Sadness” Video | Music News

There's a lot you can say about her, but Lana Del Rey is hard-working. If the recent video of “National Anthem”, featuring A$AP Rocky, wasn't enough, today a new video has surfaced, of a fan-favourite, “Summertime Sadness”. Once again, Lana chooses Super 8 cameras, vaporous atmospheres and bourgeois clothing, for a very elegant visual piece about the power of friendship, and the macabre temptation of suicide as a means to set oneself free. One of our favourite moments is when Lana thinks she's some kind of redeemer. However, what's important is that this is a new visual victory for the artist, without having to dig too deeply into her pockets.
