Each week, 100 new albums from the legendary Briton will come online

John Peel's 'Interactive Online Museum' Is Live | Music News

A few months ago we told you that the huge record collection of the legendary John Peel was going to be accessible on the website of The Space. Yesterday was the day the first one hundred titles the British radio show host had in his possession came online. The first batch includes titles like ABBA's “Voulez Vous” and A.R. Kane's “69”. Precisely the latter is the subject of a brief documentary you can watch here.

Like Tom Barker, director of the John Peel Centre, said, Peel's private collection holds about 26,000 LPs, 40,000 singles and many thousands of CDs. They'll be uploaded weekly, 100 at a time, in alphabetical order and accompanied by a mini documentary like the one about A.R. Kane, about an artist, handpicked by Peel's widow.
