Chic's Nile Rodgers could be on their next album

Daft Punk | Music News

It may be just a rumour, but it comes from a pretty reliable source. It seems that Daft Punk want disco legend Nile Rodgers for their upcoming album. “Those guys are great,” the Chic frontman told CultureMap, in an interview where he also talked about his battle with cancer, a battle he won, “they're coming to my apartment on Monday and we’re going to talk about making a new record together."

On a related note, Noah Lennox, alias Panda Bear, told Les Inroks that the makers of “Da Funk” could do a remix soon of one of the tracks from “Tomboy” (Paw Tracks, 2011) and that “they offered me to work with them on their new project.” We don't know if the Animal Collective member has said yes to the offer, but one thing's for sure: there is movement in the Daft Punk camp.
