Crowd-funding Comes To Live Music Via Detourjam

The first city to contribute 100 contributors will get an exclusive concert

Crowd-funding Comes To Live Music Via Detourjam | Music News

With crowd-funding becoming increasingly popular as a means to finance projects of all kinds, Detourjam had the brilliant idea of using the concept for live music. It's simple: an artist, or several artists, can offer a list of different cities where they could play on a particular day. The city that first contributes 100 sponsors (i.e. 100 people who give money as a guarantee of their willingness to see the artist play in their town) will host the gig. Holy Other, Lapalux and The Haxan Cloak have just done it, and their gig on 29th May will be in London, before cities like Brighton, Bristol and Leeds. The three bands will be playing that day at Xoyo.
