Since Bobby Womack was hospitalised with colon cancer, we have heard little about his situation, apart from the fact that he was slowly recovering. However, yesterday the good news came on the soul legend's Facebook page: “We're delighted to announce that Bobby Womack has successfully undergone surgery for suspected colon cancer. A tumour was removed last night which turned out to be cancer-free. We wish him all the best in his recovery from the operation. Thank you for all your kind messages and support.”
We would like to send him our very best wishes and congratulations. We hope that by the time his “The Bavest Man In The Universe”, his new album recorded with Damon Albarn and Richard Russell at the helm, comes out on 11th June, he'll be fully recovered and in better shape than ever.
