For Alan Moore, the author of “V for Vendetta” and “Watchmen”, the world of film is no secret. Although some of his works have been taken to the big screen successfully, this is the first time that the Brit has expressly written stories intended solely to be made into films, specifically short films. He’ll be working alongside director Mitch Jenkins, whom he collaborated with two years ago on that object of desire called “Unearthing”. Under the name of “Show Pieces”, the short films have been described as “noir pieces involved in the world of occultism”, which sounds promising.
The first piece, starring Siobhan Hewlett and titled “Act Of Faith”, was filmed recently in London. In the coming weeks, the same is expected to take place with the second episode, “Jimmy’s End”. In October, at an event organised by The Creator’s Project in New York, we will be able to see the results.
