Before the month ends, we'll take a look at what 2012 has brought us so far, music-wise. Today we focus on record sleeves; 40 pieces of artwork we find sexy, repulsive, original or simply beautiful.
We're well past the mid-point of 2012, and now that those who can are enjoying a well-deserved holiday, and the rest are taking it easy as well, we feel it's a good time to take a look at what the year has brought us so far, music-wise. So this is the first overview of several more to come until the end of July: of album sleeves, songs, videos, EPs, and albums.
We're starting with the album sleeves we feel are the most outstanding in 2012 so far, because of their composition, texture, originality, sex appeal, freakiness, or repulsiveness. Check the gallery (in alphabetical order) and see the 40 album sleeves for which, hadn't they already had one inside, an album should be recorded.
