A few weeks ago, at the end of San Miguel Primavera Sound, we let you know that we were working on a documentary film about the Barcelona festival and that we would premiere it at PlayGround – thanks to the efforts of San Miguel, PlayGround TV and Centset – after the summer holidays, at the end of September. We will confirm the definitive date of the premiere very soon. For now, we can say that work is going well, and we can offer you more information to go with the trailer that we showed you a few weeks ago, which you can watch again below. What is new? We have names: some of the artists who will appear in “Primavera” are (take a deep breath): The Cure, Wilco, Justice, Spiritualized, Yo La Tengo, Atlas Sound, Einstürzende Neubauten, Chromatics, The Walkmen, Girls, Dirty Three, Danny Brown, Suicide, Lee Ranaldo, Fleet Foxes, Other Lives and Dirty Beaches. They won’t be the only ones. Be patient, we’ll tell you more soon.
Remember that “Primavera” is not only a documentary journey through San Miguel Primavera Sound, but also an artistic exercise with fictional elements. It reaches a more emotional level, showing what it’s like to attend a festival like this one - detailing the feelings of communion, epiphany and euphoria that it can bring about - based on the impressions of those who attended and artists.
