10. Dark Sky: “Black Rainbows” (Black Acre)

Dark Sky, one of the most precise, dynamic trios of the latest batch of British bass music, delivers complex new designs created with mutant dubstep and UK funky. An impeccable 2x12”, it is among the month’s best.

9. King Felix: “Spring” (Liberation Technologies)

Laurel Halo debuts under a new alias, King Felix, in order to continue with her sonic adventures aimed at the dance floor. On “Spring” she plays with juke rhythms, techno textures and ambient experiments, leaving a very good aftertaste.

8. King Britt: “Presents Fhloston Paradigm” (Hyperdub)

King Britt moves away from house and, with his new project, Fhloston Paradigm, experiments with warm analogue instrumentation, cinematic moods and long durations in a complex combination of ambient layers and deep beats.

7. Anstam: “First Sprout EP” (50Weapons)

Anstam's 2011 album is continued with “First Sprout”, three slices of irregular IDM with some elements of dirty techno, free jazz and digital experimentation. Brilliant, as always.
