This is an exclusive chance to hear all of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.’s new album, a project from young Essex producer Sam Duckworth, released by Cooking Vinyl: afflicted acoustic folk-pop rounded out by melodies that are catchier than a baseball mitt.

Videogames are often a source of inspiration for musicians, for example Games and Owen Pallett. It’s also the case for Sam Duckworth, an avid Twitterer originally from Essex who at the age of 18, when he saw that music was his thing, decided to take the stage name Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly., taken from the magazine ZX Spectrum. Two years later, the youth already had a contract from Atlantic Records on the table; in 2006 they released his debut album, “The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager”. Now, after two more studio albums and a solo venture last year, he has returned to the project to offer us “Maps”, an album that will reach the shops on 7th May thanks to Cooking Vinyl / Pias Spain. As usual, the Brit alternates moments of afflicted, delicate folk-pop - there’s a reason why he’s friends with Emmy The Great – with songs that are direct, catchy, and shamelessly pop. We bring you the entire album, exclusively, so that you can listen to it days before it goes on sale.
