Shackleton

PlayLive @ Unsound Festival

Artist: Shackleton

At the end of October we were in Kraków, Poland, attending one of the most interesting electronic music festivals in the world, Unsound. Dedicated this year to the concept of horror in modern music, the line-up featured names like Demdike Stare, Ben Frost and Terror Danjah. Shackleton was there, too. Our cameras captured his live performance, of which we now bring you a five-minute clip, recorded in the main room at Fabryka on 22nd October at 2.20 AM.

This PlayLive shows exactly how Shackleton’s live shows are: exercises of rhythmic complexity, a mystical journey through which ethnic sounds, manoeuvres in the margins of dubstep and the feeling you’re entering a state of deep trance mix together (and for those who want to know, the visuals were created by MFO). By the way, don’t miss the interview with Shackleton we’re publishing today in our big end-of-year overview.
