Are you one of those people who feel a single should always be catchy, with a good dose of “pop”? Julian Lynch disagrees. When shooting a first video for his recent “Terra” (Underwater Peoples, 2011), Lynch chose “Ground”, one of his most floating songs. The piece starts using old images, only to end up in a shot of a beautiful lake where the night sky is reflected and the light keeps changing. Images that fit the New Jersey producer’s beatific ambient with humid saxes and cosmic analogue garlands perfectly. Zahid Jiwa and Miko Revereza are the directors. San Miguel Primavera Sound 2011 takes place on 25 and 29 May at Poble Español, and from 26 to 28 May at Parc del Forum in Barcelona. Tickets are on sale here.
