Swedish crooner Jens Lekman still hasn’t delivered the new album we’re awaiting (and have been expecting for several painful years now), but he is letting us have a new mix after that excellent version of “Shadows” by Au Revoir Simone. Starting from that song, Lekman brings us this mix of almost 30 minutes called “A Summer in ¾ Time”, which is almost a waltz to the rhythm of the blinking of a blonde girl with a kiss curl, in ¾ or 6/8, a mish-mash of retro tunes, and even African pop. From Morning Benders to Barbara Mason or Armando Mantovani via the aforementioned Au Revoir Simone and their “Shadows”. One two three, one two three...
