The Walkmen Switch Paths On Their New Advance Track

“We Can’t Be Beat” is taken from “Heaven”

Artist: The Walkmen

Record Label: Fat Possum Records, Bella Union

Genre: folk, indie rock

Judging from the first advance tracks, some of us are already getting used to the idea that Heaven”, the new album by The Walkmen, is going to be rather upbeat. But now that We Can’t Be Beat” has surfaced, we may have to change their minds again. The rhythm and intensity decrease, in favour of a more solemn tone, embracing a brand of pastoral folk in the vein of Fleet Foxes. After all, it's Phil Ek at the helm. Due out on 5th June.
