Savages are getting ready to debut on the 28th May, with a double single, “Flying To Berlin / Husbands”, which can be purchased as a digital download (next month it will also be available as a 7” record) through Pop Noire, the label led by their vocalist, Jehnny Beth. In “Husbands”, the London quartet shows its tendency towards a fierce post-punk, with bursts of cutting sound at the end of every verse and Beth’s unique style - thanks to a voice that might just as soon remind you of Karen O as Siouxsie Sioux or Patti Smith. These newcomers have a bright future ahead of them.
