Among Frank Ocean’s three contributions to “OF Tape Vol.2” (available, remember, from the 20th March), “White” is his only solo contribution. In it, the New Orleans performer accompanies his always-silky vocal tone with tenuous piano chords and a jazzy flavour that creates a heartfelt, intimate composition with a confessional tone. Yes, in the world of Odd Future there is also space for this.
