Lana Del Rey In The Hands Of Blood Orange

Synthetic revision of “Blue Jeans”

Artist: Blood Orange, Lana Del Rey, Boy George

Genre: synth-pop, folk-pop

Lana Del Rey can be proud of many things, like the interest her songs awake among remixers of all kinds, some of them quite prestigious. The results, well, that's a different story. But this one here is a good one, we think. Blood Orange, a.k.a. Dev Hynes, chose Blue Jeans” for a minimalist, dark synth-pop revision - much in the vein of what he's been doing in recent months. Check out the remix, with that ice-cold keyboard intro, here.

In other news, we can also bring you Boy George's take on “Video Games”, a curious version made with acoustic guitars, slides and strings - taking the track to chamber pop territory, with a faint echo of country music.
