Grimes Reinterprets Her “Vanessa”

Listen to her performance for BBC Radio 1

Artist: Grimes

Record Label: 4AD

Genre: electronic pop

Grimes took advantage of her recent performance at BBC Radio 1 to focus her renowned “Vanessa” from a new perspective.  A new version that is darker and more introspective than the original, as well as changing the accent of the synthesizers, which go from evoking expansive luminosity to nocturnal reflections. Although Grimes’ live performances tend to generate opposing viewpoints, listening to this interpretation redoubles our expectations.
