The recent announcement of the upcoming release of "ALLELLUJAH! DON’T BEND! ASCEND!", the new album by the always slippery Godspeed You! Black Emperor after ten years of relative silence, caught almost everyone by surprise. Three days after the good news, we can already listen to an advance track from the LP. “Their Helicopters' Sing” is six and a half minutes of dissonant drones and variable intensity, which, with the use of strings could be reminiscent of Theatre Of Eternal Music, the band formed in the 60s by La Monte Young, Marian Zazeela, Tony Conrad, John Cale and Angus Maclise. “ALLELLUJAH! DON’T BEND! ASCEND!” will be out on 15th October via Constellation.
