Dan Deacon Deconstructs Carly Rae Jepsen

Listen to his crazy version of “Call Me Maybe”

Artist: Dan Deacon

Genre: pop, experimental

In the middle of the incomprehensible fuss about the infamous “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen, a compilation has surfaced featuring 43 alternative, more or less experimental electronic versions of the song. Among the renditions, most of them somewhere between tribute and mockery, Dan Deacon's experiment stands out. The Baltimore badass put 147 layers of the a cappella version of the song on top of each other, in order to create an ocean of pop cacophony. Listen after the jump
