Damon G. Riddick, better known as DâM-FunK, is a Pasadena, California funk producer, keyboard player, vocalist and DJ based in Los Angeles. At present he's signed with Stones Throw Records, though his career started back in the eighties. He is the founder of Funkmosphere, a weekly club night dedicated to funk (including derivatives like boogie, modern soul, post-disco, deep-house and modern funk) at the Carbon Bar in Culver City. His long trajectory makes him one of the best funk DJs in the world.

DâM-FunK has been active since 1988, working as a session musician and recording his songs at home. He signed with Stones Throw in 2007, when label boss Peanut Butter Wolf heard some of his music on MySpace. In 2008 he released his EP “Burgundy City” and in 2009 came his first album, “Toeachizowm”, a double CD featuring 24 tracks revitalising digital funk, which was at a low point at the time. In 2010 he released “Adolescent Funk”, a compilation of 14 tracks recorded on cassette between 1988 and 1992.
