Tyler Okonma (born 6th March 1991 in Ladera Heights, California), better known as Tyler, The Creator, is a rapper, producer, video director, graphic artist and fashion designer based in Los Angeles. He is the founder and leader of alternative hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA). He is currently signed to XL Recordings and also has his own label, Odd Future Records. He has rapped and produced songs on virtually all of the OFWGKTA releases. He is also responsible for the graphics of the group's releases, their merchandise and clothing lines.

He has admitted his admiration for The Neptunes on numerous occasions, one of his biggest influences, along with Eminem. In December 2009 he released “Bastard”, his debut album, which could be downloaded for free from the Odd Future website. In February 2011 he released the video for “Yonkers”, his debut as a director. Shortly after, he announced that he had signed an album deal with XL Recording. “Goblin”, his second LP, came out in May 2011. Tyler won the award for Best Revelation Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards 2011 for “Yonkers”. His third album will be released in 2012, with the title “Wolf” - it will feature instrumental tracks Tyler has been producing since he was 15.
