It’s been long now since dubstep started looking for ways to find relief and space to grow by mixing with dancehall, jerky hip-hop, metal, kwaito house and UK funky… But have you heard about dubstep goes guaguanco before? With support from Bacardi, Untold has travelled to Puerto Rico for a drenching in local Latin rhythms. In particular, the Londoner explains how he fell in love with the rhythm of guagauncó, a kind of rumba of Afro-Cuban origin he has used as a base for this fusion track, called “Molasses Guaguancó”. This is the first offering of the project Bacardi Pioneers. Click here to download it.
