Take It Back feat. Shola Ama
Tom Bell might be enjoying his slot on BBC Radio 1 these days, but that doesn’t mean that his heart no longer lies with pirate radio. The video of “Take It Back” is a sincere and heartfelt tribute to pirate radio culture, fundamental agents in the dissemination of post-rave dance music in the UK and, by extension, the rest of the world. A homemade antenna temporarily installed on the roof of a building. A couple of decks and a mixer. A microphone and a mobile phone to communicate with the audience. Someone at the door to watch out for Ofcom agents. All that, a few good tunes, and enjoy. The advance track of Toddla T’s second album is now available at the main digital stores. We’ll have to wait for the album, “ Watch Me Dance”, until August..
Toddla T will be appearing at Sónar 2011. The Festival will take place from 16 th to 18th June at the CCCB in Barcelona, the Fira Gran Via in L’Hospitalet, L’Auditori in Barcelona and the Teatre Grec in Barcelona. Tickets are on sale here.
