Although he decided to move from California to Vienna quite some time ago, Johannes Auvinen is still feeling lost in Los Angeles. And it’s that confusion that serves as the fuel for his particular mix of taciturn, mechanic pop and deep electronica, halfway between technoid acid house and ambient. Auvinen has just delivered his third effort as Tin Man. The record is called “Perfume”, and is now in stores, via Salon Records. If you’re lucky enough to be in New York next week, don’t miss out on Tin Man’s performance at Unsound NY. He’ll be playing on 9th April at Public Assembly (70 North 6th St, Brooklyn). You can get your tickets here.
Unsound Festival New York takes place from 1 to 10 April, at various locations in New York. Tickets are on sale here.
