There’s nothing like having friends in high places. Thanks to his media status and his friendship with Steven Ellison, better known as Flying Lotus, Thom Yorke ended up on stage a couple of weeks ago at The Airliner, the club in Los Angeles where the Low End Theory nights are hosted, that temple of beats and bass on the American west coast. The morning after his appearance loads of videos of the gig, recorded with mobile phones and small digital cameras, emerged on the Internet. Luckily, there were also some professional cameras present. Thanks to photographer and filmmaker Theo Jemison, regular collaborator of the Brainfeeder family, we can now enjoy a fragment, with high sound and image quality, of the set the Radiohead frontman offered that night. Tracks by Burial and Quasimoto, and new demonstrations of the “Yorke dance”.
