"Retro-Cheesy" Video By Ice Choir
Polygonal animation for “A Vision Of Hell, 1996”
We're already getting used to seeing videos like this one for “ A Vision Of Hell, 1996”, by Ice Choir, the side-project by Kurt Feldman from The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. The imagery, like the music, pushes retro until it hurts. It pays tribute to vintage technology, keeping (though sometimes losing) the balance between the likeable and the terribly cheesy. Highlights include the moment when the band members, turned into polygonal animation figures, appear in the landscape pictured on the sleeve of their first album, “Afar”. Directed by D.V. Caputo.
