Today sees the release of the first part of a series of 12”s with exciting remixes of tracks from “The King Of Limbs”. Although, of course, the physical copies of this first chapter and the second are very, very sold out. If you weren’t fast enough at the time, you’ll have to make do with the digital version, or the streaming, which has been made available by the band. Caribou takes care of “Little By Little”, in a stripped and subtle version, using a simple and insistent beat and a harp (or at least, it sounds like a harp), manipulating Thom Yorke’s voice as he pleases. Another Canadian, young Jacques Greene, does his thing with “Lotus Flower” under the influence of garage, and the truth here is that his version is the winner. Greene delivers a more detailed version than the original, adding electronic enchantment to the emotional charge Yorke’s voice has already all by itself.
