The Glorious Land
Photographer Seamus Murphy wants to put images to every song on “Let England Shake”, and he’s already got four videos ready. Murphy, in an attempt to stay as close as possible to PJ Harvey’s lyrics, took his camera to the English countryside, far from the iron giants, where the trees and the stars play the starring role. It’s where Polly Jean’s album comes from, and that’s how Murphy has eternalised it: at her home, at her workplace, in the natural surroundings that serve as the scene of her days and nights. Shortly, we’ll be able to see the fifth instalment of this creative saga that will eventually consist of twelve videos.
