The longest weekend of the London Summer culminates today in the big party that has been crowning the bank holiday since 1966: the Notting Hill Carnival, the free musical street celebration that has been the invisible red thread of the soundsystem culture in the British capital for decades. Carnival has been the cause of reggae, dub, drum’n’bass, dancehall and presently dubstep and UK funky being introduced organically in the musical DNA of the city, and every year there are surprises and new mutations appear. Do you want to know what’s going to happen? From 1 PM on (12 PM UK time) we will connect live with the Red Bull Music Academy stage at the Notting Hill Carnival, on which during seven hours artists such as Major Lazer, Poirier, Joker, Drop The Lime, Douster and David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan will be playing non-stop. Follow it via the player we have installed: something big could happen today. Are you going to miss it?
