Fresh details about “Drift Remixed” are being dropped, the collection of reinterpretations of the first full-length recording by L.A. beat juggler Jason Chung, a.k.a. Nosaj Thing. After his remixes of Jamie xx and Take, now it’s the turn of Jon Hopkins and his cover version of “Us”, a sort of staggering lazer bass—rocked at the end by a calm, impressionist piano—that comes accompanied by a video. Anthony Ciannamea and Mark Wisniowskien have directed this psychological thriller that moves along the line separating culinary fantasy from psychopathic terror. Luckily, in the end, no one gets hurt.
