Little under a month after enchanting us once again with “Luminaries & Synastry” (Digitalis, 2011), Motion Sickness Of Time Travel have a new collection of spectral lullabies ready. Rachel Evans' working rhythm seems to be inversely proportional to the calmness of her music. Her new effort, aptly titled “Dreamcatcher”, will be out in early August on a limited edition cassette (200 copies) on Canadian label Hobo Cult Records. Francesco de Gallo, the label boss, is also in charge of the pastoral video accompanying the release's title track. In the vein of Evans' mystical-cosmic ambient-pop, the video shows a girl who seems to want to merge with the earth while strolling and meditating in a field. Maybe she's in pursuit of some lost dream.
