Modern Day Alienation Through The Eyes Of WhoMadeWho
New video for “Running Man & The Sun (Pitfalls of Modern Man)”
Do you remember that video of “Every Minute Alone”? That succession of cries and group therapy that make you wonder whether you want to laugh or cry served as proof that “Knee Deep” (Kompakt, 2011) wasn't a very happy record. The songs oozed philosophical confusion and emotional chaos, which is what we get in the video Good Boy! Creative (William Stahl, Michael Vogt and Thomas A) made for “Running Man” and “The Sun”, both from “Brighter” (Kompakt, 2012). The video is the third and final chapter of the series about “the pitfalls of modern man”, which started with the “Every Minute Alone” clip. WhoMadeWho give us a psychological portrait of a young, attractive, well-groomed, supposedly creative, design-loving young man working at 'Umlaut Creative', directed by Tomas Barfod. We can only say that, in spite of the idyllic appearance of the characters and scenes, it ends in violence.
