A church song? Well, only if we understand the club –in its broadest sense, as “place of gathering and recreation”, which could be a house party, a warehouse or even a taken-over car park – as the new temple of a cult with Dionysiac tendencies that worships fashion, music and dance as its gods. Mexican Summer, a label that normally operates across folk, noise-pop and new psychedelica, has just opened its doors to the retro house of Miracles Club. For this first single on the Brooklyn label, Judah Switzer and Team Camera have set up this warehouse party. Bring your smiley face badges and start dancing.
