Avid readers of this magazine will know that “The Vision”, Joker's album debut on 4AD, is around the corner. The record will be out on the 7th of November; yesterday the third advance track was released. After the sweet collaborations with Jessie Ware and Silas, this time the producer made a true Bristolian posse - recruiting a string of MCs from his city's grime scene. “Back In The Days” features - apart from the rhymes of Buggsy, Scarz and Double - Shadz (alias Javeon McCarthy, who you might know from his recent work with Julio Bashmore and L-Vis 1990). All of them take advantage of the galactic producer's best beats in recent times; delivering a track as defiant as it is catchy, mixing their street cred with an unmistakable commercial potential.
