A Summer in 3/4 Time
Swedish crooner Jens Lekman still hasn’t delivered the new album we’re awaiting (and have been expecting for several painful years now), but he is letting us have a new mix after that excellent version of “Shadows” by Au Revoir Simone. Starting from that song, Lekman brings us this mix of almost 30 minutes called “A Summer in ¾ Time”, which is almost a waltz to the rhythm of the blinking of a blonde girl with a kiss curl, in ¾ or 6/8, a mish-mash of retro tunes, and even African pop.
