If you ever visit Glasgow, check out Rubadub Records at 35 Howard St. Stand in front of their window and you’ll see a small shop where -despite it's huge influence- nothing seems to happen. Now take Jamaica Street, with the Sub Club on your left, towards Garnethill, where you’ll find Glasgow School of Art. This imaginary triangle defines the identity of the new brand of dance music coming from Glasgow through labels like Dress 2 Sweat, Wireblock and Numbers. Behind all these labels is Jackmaster, a DJ with a fast pulse that just before his performance in Barcelona at Sónar (and at the Sunday party organised by the Desparrame crew), has rescued an old mix that according to Numbers, you should take as the soundtrack to a perfect Spanish vacation during the 80s. His set at Sónar will be very different, but it's perfect to get your mind in sync with the words holiday and Spain.
