Although the music of Glasser lingers on the land of the smoothest synth pop, there’s some mystery to it. Hers is mystic pop with an esoteric aftertaste, with a backwards trajectory through oneiric territory. A few days before the release of “Rings”, the True Panther label said the Glasser’s debut album followed a ring structure, that is, one without a beginning or and end, with songs arranged so that they resemble the rhetorical effect of repetition. There’s a lot of this in this video for “Mirrorage”, a circular voyage that seeks to be the hypnotic reflection of the many people hiding under Cameron Mesirow’s skin. The video was directed by Carlos Charlie Perez.
