With his debut album “Peanut Butter Blues And Melancholy Jam” (Brownswood, 2011), urban poet Obaro Ejimiwe has earned himself a place among the biggest sensations of recent times in rhyme and atypical electronica from the UK. But an album is one thing, playing live is another. What’s a Ghostpoet concert like? How does his calm and sleepy flow sit with the magnetic presence expected from an artist taking the stage? Canal Street gives us the answer. This is what “Cash And Carry Me Home” and “Finished I Ain't” sounded like during his recent contribution to the “CS Sessions” on the urban show on Canal +.
Ghostpoet will be appearing at Sónar 2011. The Festival will take place from 16 th to 18th June at the CCCB in Barcelona, the Fira Gran Via in L’Hospitalet, L’Auditori in Barcelona and the Teatre Grec in Barcelona. Tickets are on sale here.
