Free The Robots
Friedrich Nietzsche was ace at motivating the people. He said: “Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.” The story could continue as follows: water will turn into a dark liquid, you will rot inside, little by little and you will end up wandering through the desert smeared with black shoe polish. At least, that’s how Phil Nisco sees it, who has placed LA producer Free The Robots in front of the camera and the track “Jupiter” on the audio track in order to film this strangely beautiful, albeit disconcerting, visual story. The abstract hip-hop of “Jupiter” can be found on “Ctrl Alt Delete”, one of the most interesting records we heard last year coming from the Angelino producers squad.
