Emeralds, miracle workers of drone noise who have lately been getting into kosmische electronica, will be one of the three pillars of the evening of Friday 8th April at Unsound Festival New York. The Cleveland trio will join two great pioneers of synthetic explorations, Alan Howarth and Harald Grosskopf, to offer a performance connecting the dots between the synth music of yesterday and today. The Ohio combo will be playing both with Howarth and on their own during an evening that must be the wet dream of all lovers of the most adventurous synthesiser music. Emeralds’ music surely needs no introduction, but to give you an idea of what you can expect at Le Poisson Rouge next Friday, FACT Magazine have a hypnotic live performance by the Americans online, recorded at Unsound Krakow 2010. Download it after the jump.
