Remembering the electric storm of The Soft Moon, at PlayGround we’re looking back on some of the best concerts of the recent edition of San Miguel Primavera Sound. Today we offer the exclusive recording of Einstürzende Neubauten’s performance on Saturday 28th May on the Ray-Ban stage at the Fòrum. Three decades have past since their activist start on the underground scene that shook the then isolated West Berlin. Forms have changed, and noisy aggression gave way to a new sophistication some time ago. And that turn towards more serene, harmonic and more traditional way of songwriting that can be heard on albums like “ Silence is Sexy” (2000) and “ Alles Wieder Offen” (2007), can also be seen during their live shows. At the Barcelona festival, Einstürzende Neubauten played a laidback set showing that small and slow movements don’t mean the intensity is lessened. At least, when they do it. Pump up the volume and enjoy.
