Chad Valley Now That I'm Real (How Does It Feel?)

Hugo Manuel’s music as Chad Valley can be tagged with labels like “light”, “misty”, “relaxed”, “dreamy”, right? Well, there’s a lot of that, but tracks like “Now That I'm Real (How Does It Feel?)” are invested with a melancholy that has little to do with the summer dreams of songs like Fast Challenges. You only need to take a look at the first verse ( “I only want to feel the cold light. Pretending that it’s never over. It doesn’t make me smile in your eyes. It doesn’t help, I never felt to go home. Now building here inside...”) to understand that we’re dealing with a song about troubles of the heart. So it’s only logical that Lucy Bridger chose black and white as the colour scheme for a story about distances that grow without us knowing why or how, exactlyo.
