Had they been the first, they would have been applauded. But with the precedent set, the action is little more but a curiosity. Remember what Shamantis did last summer with Justin Bieber’s “U Smile”? He slowed it down enormously, and the tune as if by magic turned into a 35-minute piece that could have been a choral piece written by Arvo Pärt. Birdfeeder have done the same thing with the track John Williams composed for “Jurassic Park”.
