Becoming Real feat. Trim
Like Ballard’s “Concrete Island” (1974) and “High Rise” (1975), or the Aphex Twin of “Come to Daddy”, Becoming Realknows perfectly well that if they’re not well lit and populated, the city’s streets can become a nightmare. Characters emitting deranged laughter, dogs threatening to expurgate your bones, objects casting long shadows, housing estates communicating through their disposition and trembling lights, containers that seem to be sweating, or bleeding perhaps… This is how Toby Ridler and Matthew Reed (they’ve directed the music video) have portrayed London for “ Like Me”, a track by Trim that will open his impending “Spectre EP”.
