Pulsating basslines, epic crescendos, deep rhythms and prog guitars: Bear In Heaven, from Brooklyn, have for the past five years been defining the sonic boundaries of their particular aesthetic sound with influences from 70s soft-rock, Yeasayer’s exotic psychedelia, Pink Floyd’s dark reveries and the post-punk rhythmic experiments of This Heat. Pushing on from that sonic basis, the band have commissioned their own remix album with the songs from “Beast Rest Forth Mouth”, which will be included as a bonus disc for the album re-release, available via Hometapes on 14th September. The Hundred in the Hands, Twin Shadow, Pink Skull, BRAHMS, High Places, Justin K. Broadrick all of them will lend a hand on “Beast Rest Forth Mouth Remixed”. The record is introduced with eight minutes of tribal percussion and circular trance by The Field.
