You like over-elaborated tags, you mean? Well, here’s one for you: “Victorian Punk”. This is what some people out there have decided to call the music by Agent Ribbons, an Austin-based trio influenced by blues, 60’s acid folk and something halfway between chamber and cabaret pop, with a touch of contemporary sensibility that takes them closer to indie rock. The Madrid-based label Acuarela is about to release the band’s second full-length recording in Europe and Asia. Entitled “Chateau Crone” (Antenna Farm, 2010), the first single is “Dada Girlfriend”, available in stores as of 23rd November—including a 24-page book and a transfer!
