New Sounds From Purity Ring
The duo presents “Obedear”, an advance track for their LP, due out in July
In the end, the clues weren't false. Megan James and Corin Roddick, better known as Purity Ring, have signed to the historical 4AD and Canadian platform Last Gang in order to release their almost rave-like synthetic pop. Yet, their sound is more about the latest developments in hardcore and witch house, even certain brands of progressive house, than with 80s synth-pop. Their first album will be out on 24th July, entitled “Shrines”. On the first advance track, “Obedear” , they continue to explore their haunted pop. Download the track for free here.
