Daughn Gibson Shows His “Sampledelic” Skills
“Reach Into The Fire” marks his debut on Sub Pop
His superb debut album, “ All Hell”, has given Daughn Gibson a leg up to a big label. Sub Pop will release his upcoming album next year. To mark the encounter, and on the verge of his coming live performances, Gibson has decided to share a new song with his followers, “ Reach Into The Fire”, a piece built using samples of songs from two of the Seattle label’s artists: Shabazz Palaces (he uses fragments of “ An Echo From The Hosts That Profess Infinitum”) and Tiny Vipers (pieces of “ Slow Motion” and “ Life On Earth”).
