The best videos of 2011 so far

An overview of the audio-visual crop, from the first half of this year

Like we have already done with albums and EPs, today we try to bring some order to the chaos of video releases from the first six months of 2011. The video is a powerful promotional tool for music in the internet age. Furthermore, aside from helping spread the work of new artists, it's also a highly interesting art form in itself. Something everybody knows, of course. So this is not so much a list of songs, but a list purely based on the quality of the videos accompanying them – eye candy, not ear candy. There's no number one, either – this list comes in alphabetical order.
